OK, so I am biased but I would love to see Steve Womack. He is probably too new to the scene but he is not so far to the right he can not work with both sides, he is smart (most congressmen are) he is reliable and has done his best to represent his state. I want someone who is slightly to the right but not Tea Party right.

Ok, the rest of you; name the candidate you would like to see be considered?

Louie "Gohmert Pyle" Gohmert. He's perfect. Just the kind of Southern Goober that's emblematic of the party.

Not herp-a-derp folksy gooberish enough. Wrong party.

Plus I think she has all of her teeth. Immediate disqualifier.

Look, I don't know why Republicans are making a big deal about this. They should just pick a guy and be done with it.

I think a moderate is necessary. The SOTH is 3rd in line to the presidency. Putting an extreme wing Rep in the Speaker could be disastrous if something happens to the POTUS and Veep. Conspiracy theorists and politicos might think that this is short-cut way for a Tea Party representative to take the White House. The same would be true goes for the extreme left…they just don't have the majority right now.

I agree, and guess he will not take the position because it would make the Benghazi hearing look too political. Needless to say after McCarthy's idiotic comment, that is the last thing Gowdy wishes to do.

I am not sure why Paul Ryan doesn't want the job, as he is fiscally conservative enough to make the Tea Party people happy.
