Common sense approach doesnt exist in DC.. Control is their agenda.. If they wanted to curb crime, they could start sending troops into Chicagos gang area, as well as Detroit, DC etc etc.. Clean house, kill off all gangbangers, confiscate all illegal guns within gangs..... They have a plethora of options to lower gun related shootings, but wont do it. No different than war on drugs, war on poverty etc etc. Its all about fattening up someones wallet to maintain the poverty, drugs etc.
i assume you are talking about using military troops? if that is the case then perhaps you have not heard of the posse cumitatus act, which prevents the government from using military troops against the US population.

The governors cann use National Guard after an area is declared Marshal law. Correct me if I am wrong.

IF an area has been declared under marshal law, then yes a governor can all out the national guard to supplement the police. however, are you going to be the governor that declares marshal law? is there good reason to declare such an action? and sorry but even a rash of murders is not a reason to declare marshal law.

Only non-federalized units from the state National Guard in question. So DC could not use Pennsylvania's National Guard, not that DC has a governor (it not being a state). So DC couldn't have NG troops deployed anyway.
But take Illinois, it could use non-federalized units of the Illinois National Guard for purposes of law enforcement, but Illinois would have to bear the cost (or Chicago would). The governor would also have to issue the command, it doesn't need marshal law to be declared either
Even though I am male, I think we would be better off banning guns from most males, since the overwhelming number of mass killings and murders are perpetrated by men, who are less than half the population.
As soOn as one reviews the Oklahoma city bombing, all guns are evil diatribes become moot. Timothy McVeigh killed more people (to include what? 33 children) in a split second. Guns pale in comparison.
What no one who opposes gun ownership seems to do is simply review the crimes and criminals stopped by guns. Go to YouTube, look up the litany of videos of robbers getting owned or convenience sore owner stops bad guy. No media coverage here. Not even a footnote. Just see for yourself.
Guns are here to stay and there is nothing Pelosi and others can do to stop it. Buckle up, fall in, and work on mental issues and enforce harsh sentencing guidelines. Eliminating guns is as laughable as rounding up illegals although the latter would be easier.
There are over 300,000,000 firearms in circulation. That we know about. You simply can't get that cork into the bottle ever again. The genie is out. She ain't going back. it's a waste of time to try. I'm always comforted by the video clips thinking, "that could have been me as the innocent bystander/victim".....rock on. Arm up, shoot straight.
Seeing how the government can't seem to stop bingo and zippy, perhaps we will?
What is my issue? Fixes for mass shootings are low hanging fruits. .
Not in any way. If they were, we would have solved this problem.
