Here are the two areas in which Hillary is vulnerable:
I guess we were listening to two different hearings.
Quote:
She refused Ambassador Stevens' repeated request for more security assets. She can't shift the blame to Diplomatic Service or Bureaucratic infighting. The requests came directly to her.
On your channel was direct evidence disclosed that "fact."
Quote:
Chris Stevens didn't choose to go to Benghazi on his own; he was directed to go.
That's sort of the job description for career diplomats, you go where you are needed.

Your posts seem to suggest you have no clue as to what really happened.
My feelings exactly, just not the way you meant it.
What light is there to shed we know the facts about Benghazi, a temporary maybe someday consulate was attack by an overwhelming force, Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed along with two of his security team. Another attack on the CIA station was attack and two more American security officers were killed.
As for the issue of adequate or inadequate security, unless you know the size and strength of the opposing force you can't know the size and strength of security that would be adequate!
As for addressing the motives for the the attack, in the final analysis who give a frack!
So what in any email, memo, discussion, would change the essential facts, an ambassador was killed along with his security staff by an overwhelming force. And when it comes to the history of attacks on U.S. embassies and facilities dating back to 1924, it fails in comparison!
So here is a list of U.S. embassies and consulate attacks that Clinton failed to protect:
Overscheduling has plagued the Secret Service in the recent past, especially the Secret Service’s Uniform Division officers, who provide security at the White House and the vice president’s residence at the Naval Observatory. In the wake of the embarrassing fence-jumper incident, many officers complained bitterly about how often they are forced to work on their days off due to staffing shortages.
Watching this Hillary Benghazi issue, Gop are looking very weak and grasping for any straw, pathetic, that they could put Mrs Clinton through 9 of these inquisitions and come up with absolutely nothing speaks to the GOPs vacuous desperation,The whole thing smacks of a good old fashion witch hunt. Meanwhile Hillary is looking very tough and very capable in rebutting the GOPs juvenile and futile attacks.
LOL! Since when have Democrats ever been concerned with wasting money?
Please....
Speaking of money....

O’BRIEN: Is it true that you voted to cut the funding for embassy security?
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT): Absolutely.
Quote:
In the 2011 continuing resolution, Congress, at the insistence of the House of Representatives, slashed the president’s request for embassy security and construction and forced another cut in fiscal year 2012.
Altogether Congress has eliminated $296 million from embassy security and construction in the last two years with additional cuts in other State Department security accounts.
Maybe they learned something from the prior 7 or 8 hearing.
I can't stand Billary, but after this I 'll probably vote for her.
There are 250 embassies and consulates. Sec. Of States come and go. Those career people who have been running the state department for years. To expect her to know the day to day operations of an embassy is unrealistic.
The damn CIA was next door to this outpost in a tender box. One would think if there was trouble brewing, they'd know it.
This whole thing was a CIA operations gone bad. Like most stuff they touch. Anybody who knows what happened is not and cannot say a word. The hearings can go on forever. Anybody can make any kind of charge they please because they know, the people who do know will not say a word.
every (D) member of the committee is her defense atty and they have not shown any indication that they care to get to the bottom of what happened......
Why should they?
Here is the exhaustive Republican lead investigation by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence report on the attacks published in November of 2014!
so you dont care about what went wrong, and how to fix/prevent it from happening again...
the point of this is NOT to assign blame, but to figure out what we need improvements on, what went wrong, how to prevent more americans from getting killed, how to have better oversight on things
I dont care if it was hillary's fault or not....but I certainly do care if we can fix things...I do care that an executive cabinet level officer (like Sec of State) that is CONSTANTLY dealing with classified/senstitive/secret/top secret information uses a secure server....I do care that if an ambassidor ASKS for more security, that the issue IS ADDRESSED at the HIGHEST LEVELS and IF it is to be ''declined'' there s a policy/regulation/REASON as to why...in WRITING
If you expected this hearing will insure this that this never happen again you are in the wrong place, Gowdy and the rest of the GOP made this political from the start not about safety of state officials.
Already been stated that there was security provided to the compound as requested but certainly not enough to absolute safety. Ambassador Stevens and others had decades of experience and knew the risks. There were attacks on other embassies around the same time and security was sufficient.
You cannot expect every decision in an agency of tens of thousands of people to go to the highest level, do you have any idea how many personnel embassies and other facilities there are, you expect every request to end up on her desk.
If you listened earlier you would have heard that Stevens followed procedure when he went to Benghazi with respect to his security detail. I don't know why they are going over this again this was already covered in the last 7 hearings.
