“Both brothers were subjected to physical punishment in the hopes that each would confess to prior sins and ask for forgiveness,” Chief Michael S. Inserra of the New Hartford Police Department said at a news conference on Wednesday.

What a disgusting an foul religion would promote something like this? We should burn the bible and outlaw any Christian immigrants from entering this country because they clearly are all violent maniacs.
Do you often draw broad conclusions and stereotypes for millions of people based on the actions of a few individuals?

Christianity is not the plague, fanatical extremism is, and it doesn't matter that they are christian, muslim, or atheist.

It's not Christians that are the culprit here, it's fanatics.

And it might. But that process is not inevitable. Christianity didn't mellow out due to some natural progression that religions follow. People called the church out on it's **** and put enough pressure on it to force it to change. It's stupid to think that the church wouldn't still be executing homosexuals and intellectuals if people hadn't forced it's hand.

Islam is in the same boat, but someone has to force it. I'm only saying this so conservatives won't whine about my bias.
You can't be serious.

You do know that the muslims took over all of the Mediterranean area, including, all of the middle east, north Africa, Greece, Sicily, southern Italy, Portugal, Spain, southern France, and eastern Europe through bloody Jihad wars. They killed tens of millions, enslaved millions, and forced millions of people to convert to Islam or die. They destroyed anything with cultural significance, including libraries, and churches, leaving the modern world created by the Romans in complete ruins.

So no, Christians were never like the muslims. Islam would never have grown to the numbers it is today, if it hadn't waged bloody Jihad wars all over the world, and forced people to convert or die.
