It's sad, but what's the point. More kids are killed or injured on the bicycle, or car their parents give them.

Lots of idiots have children. Their kids tend to be not so bright, also.

A five year old has no business with anything more than a cap gun or an airsoft.

I once got a 22 as a xmas gift. But I was 12 then and had gun safety training. I had experience at the target range at summer camp. Kids can be safe with firearms, but they need to be developed beyond a certain point (5 isn't there yet) and they need to have the 4 safety rules drilled into them until they could recite them in their sleep.

My daughter has had her own .410 since she was 2 days from being 6. at 10, she got her mini-14, with a 30 round mag. at 16 she got her police issue .38. Now at 17 she got a Sharps, 1880's sniper rifle.

Before 18, she had 4 weapons in her room.

I guess it is the parenting.....

There are millions of 5 year olds that have bikes and yes some get injured, just imagine if they all had guns.

I expect that the amount of 5 year olds with guns is a very, very small percentage, at least I hope.

Yet another careless parent, too many people with guns that should never have them.

Exactly, an Uzi would be a nice Xmas gift for a lad starting school too.
