You are a responsible hunter, like the vast majority of hunters are. Those of us who do not hunt, like myself, share your puzzlement as to what motivates a person to shoot an endangered animal for nothing more than the vanity of doing so, and being able to place its head on your living room wall.
Anyone who would be impressed by such a trophy is as soulless and ignorant as the hunter who killed the endangered animal.
I have to agree with you. I know guys who have made trophy kills on game farms. These guys proudly mounted the heads etc. To me that's like mounting that trophy trout that you caught at the hatchery. Yes it is huge, but it's still a farm animal. No instinct and damned sure not much of a challenge.
Endangered animals. I am positive that some azzhole would be proud if they killed the last remaining Rhino, or Siberian Tiger or whatever.
It has been well documented the park "rangers" - usually poor villagers in a uniform - will take a bribe and go away while the animals they are to be protecting are killed for tusks, a horn, feet or head. That would be an elephant for the tusks, a rhino for the horn and a gorilla for the feet and head. Tigers are killed because certain Asians believe their penis to be a powerful aphrodisiac.
The worst part is once they remove the part of the animal killed they leave the rest of it to rot.
People use to be killed for their gold fillings. Lowlife morticians use to pull teeth from corpses for the very reason.
Hunting humans makes more sense. Very few people would care if Steamgrate Joe went missing.
I'm sure a percentage of game wardens are corrupt, but the majority are not and in the end more animals benefit from the trophy hunt system to pay for wild life preserves than if the system were not in place.
Not to mention the many jobs and food the system provides.
Too bad they can't hunt liberals. There should be no limits, kind of like with parrie dogs, or rats. Heck I'd even pay for extra tags.
Of course liberals aren't very hard to hunt. They are trained to "huddle" when threatened in a group setting, and if you catch one alone, they run in circles and scream and shout!
Murdering humans = a sociopathic right-winger's wet dream. Since that isn't legal, shooting vulnerable and endangered species is the next best thing.
Raising animals just to kill them is (a) not a sport, it'a butchering. And (b) this is Texas, not Africa. (c) It's got NOTHING to do with sustainability of animals in the wild.
I don't care what you call it. It sustains endangered species. Your hatred of guns blinds you.
I'll never, ever understand how anyone could derive even a slight shred of joy or fulfillment from killing an animal.
So what? I can't understand why anyone could derive even a slight shred of joy listening to rap music or watching soccer. But I don't get my panties in a wad over what other people like to do.

Nailed it.
