How can anyone take you seriously? Your claim that parents need time off work to bond with their children to reduce crime and poverty is patently absurd in the face of how many criminals and how much poverty can be attributed to children who come from homes in which either one or both parents isn't even working at all.

I loathe stores that open on Thanksgiving day.

When I was a kid, I remember stores being closed for New Year's Day and Easter Sunday too.

isn't 24x7 online shopping good enough for people?

personal choice?

it's called bringing a life into this world ensuring humanity and future generations continue.

I don't like places being open on holidays either, but that is their right to do so. No one is forced to work there.

As a small business owner, I can't pay someone if they aren't producing income for the business....how would I be able to fund that? We give 2 weeks paid vacation time....and that's a hardship!

See, government comes up with all these ideas, but doesn't seem to understand how business works. Unlike the government, I can't just TAKE money (taxes) from my customers without my employees actually DOING something to warrant being paid.

Any other nonsense?

A moral society helps greatly but too bad that is now gone.
