You people are ignorant. The government, law enforcement with an agenda, and housewives with nothing better to do have brainwashed me into believing how evil weed is, so it must be true. Weed is a gateway drug, but somehow alcohol and tobacco aren't. Makes sense if you ask me, so let's continue to fall for propaganda.
Please think of all the children that turn into junkies because of that dirty weed. But let's not mention alcohol and tobacco. Those are obviously ok because the government says so.

They tossed it due to the controversial setup, not because they didn't want to legalize.
"The people of Ohio have understandably rejected a deeply flawed, monopolistic approach to marijuana reform that failed to garner broad support from advocates or industry leaders,"
"Recent polls have indicated that a majority of Ohioans do support the idea of legalization, suggesting Issue 3's "marijuana monopoly" may have turned some voters who support legal weed against the measure. "
Midwesterners are not the same as the so called free thinking hippies out west. This does not bode well for pot smokers in other Midwest states considering this. I believe Michigan and Wisconsin have efforts underway as well to hold a vote like this. Ohio may have given these states a preview of what they may see in such an election. I guess if you like to smoke the funny stuff its time to go "find yourself" out west somewhere. Not sure the left thinking states of the Northeast will have a much easier time getting pro dope laws either, while they are more liberal, they are also quite pro status quo establishment kind of places. The west coast and Mountain west may be the only place where voters will choose to legalize dope.
Let's make alcohol illegal too. It causes an insane amount of problems for society, and all that crime created from Prohibition was no big deal. Alcohol was the root cause of all that crime, and not incredibly stupid laws that created crime. No one is responsible enough to make their own decisions. We need the government and brainwashed, hypocritical people to take care of us.
The world is a better place with those dirty, dangerous pot smokers in jail. Such a great use of resources, time, and money.
Now excuse me while I drink my alcohol to alter my mind, and hypocritically look down on others trying to alter their minds in a different way. Alcohol isn't really dangerous when used responsibly, but somehow weed always is, even when used responsibly.
