The Democrats sure don't mind giving away billions of our tax dollars to illegal aliens either who don't even have a right to be in this country. Hypocrites! If they weren't here there would be jobs for the poor instead of handouts.
We have always been Socialist and a little Capitalist, just more Socialist today: We have Welfare, Social Security, free Heath care to anyone who shows up at an emergency room. We even have social programs for Illegal Immigrants! How are we not Socialist?
America is socialist for the poor, capitalist for the wealthy. The difference here is you can choose capitalism instead of socialism and make something of yourself -- many have pulled themselves up out of poverty and into capitalist wealth
Through hard work and education.
The Bush tax cuts added trillions of dollars to our national debt, raised state taxes, lowered the value of the US dollar (because of our high /deficits/debt), ex.ex. Was it worth it?

Yup.
And all those tax cuts I bet were made under the guise of "creating jobs."
If the rich have more money, they are (supposedly) creating more jobs for Americans.
As the practice is increasingly showing us, they "create jobs" alright, just not in the US, but wherever they see a bigger return on their investments.
Using the words of some long-forgotten Mr. Thomas Dunning, ( whom Karl Marx quoted in his "Das Kapital,"), it goes like this;
“Capital is said by a Quarterly Reviewer to fly turbulence and strife, and to be timid, which is very true; but this is very incompletely stating the question. Capital eschews no profit, or very small profit, just as Nature was formerly said to abhor a vacuum. With adequate profit, capital is very bold. A certain 10 per cent. will ensure its employment anywhere; 20 per cent. certain will produce eagerness; 50 per cent., positive audacity; 100 per cent. will make it ready to trample on all human laws; 300 per cent., and there is not a crime at which it will scruple, nor a risk it will not run, even to the chance of its owner being hanged. If turbulence and strife will bring a profit, it will freely encourage both. Smuggling and the slave-trade have amply proved all that is here stated.”
hotkarl - Good choices as those people are more supportive of free market capitalism than any of the monopolist warmongering Republicans that own our Military contracting system.

The only group that shows any negative effect from competition for jobs with illegal aliens is black high school dropouts. Unless you are one of those, you don't have much to worry about.
Why does everything always have to be 'one thing' or 'the other' in America? People act like it's either freedom or complete communism. It's such a fear culture that can't see the grey area in between.
American can be successful like UK, Canada and Australia – doesn't have to be like the old Soviet Russia days LOL!
You don't understand it - of course it's freedom or nothing)))
Look at someone like Sanders - it's practically Stalin reincarnated, don't you see it?
