Great.

Then don't cry about things like 9/11. If you prop up dictators to rule them, they have a right to terrorize you.

No dictator is oppressing ISIS. But ISIS is out to terrorize us anyway. They've said so, in case you haven't noticed.

Osama Bin Laden was rich. The 9/11 hijackers were not poor. They weren't oppressed by anyone.

To liberate Iraq, which we did. Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act in 1998. Bush followed through on it.

If you look at the pre-Arab Spring countries that had dictators, kings and leaders for life for the most part those countries overall were stable. This is how tribalism works in those countries. The strongest tribe is ironfisted and thus anything political is quietly put down. Even if we bring in the hijackers from 9/11. They were basically rich kids with nothing to do. They all came from Saudi Arabia where the citizens pay no taxes and pay very little for utilities. To gain this the Saudi family requires its citizens to stay out of anything political or anything related to extremism. The UAE is nearly the same and even created a terrorist list (all Muslim and not one is American or Israeli)

List of groups designated terrorist organisations by the UAE | The National

The terrorists went to a weak unstable country in order to play Jihadist called Afghanistan and rest is history.

We didn't liberate Iraq. We created a unstable country where the U.S. was too naive on how to play with Arabs.

We did indeed depose their regime.

Perhaps it would have been better for us all if Clinton hadn't signed the Iraq Liberation Act into law.

We removed a leading tribe and it's leader. Leaving the country open for another tribe to come in. For Iraq it's not if, it's when. Or maybe you're blind to all the bombings since Iraq was destabilized. The U.S. was naive then and is naive now, but at least Obama is starting to learn how things work in the ME.

Oh, I hear you on that. I'm suggesting that perhaps it would have been better for us all if Clinton hadn't signed the Iraq Liberation Act into law. It wasn't our place to liberate Iraq for reasons you've already stated.

We, the U.S., started the domino effect that has hit nearly all of N Africa and the Middle East since.

The first domino in that line of collapsing dominoes is the Middle East itself, which has always been unstable and uncivilized.

And probably always will be.
