^^ You can't use a drug that effects so much of the CNS and NOT have issues. The problem is addiction and drug abuse... although abuse of mj is much less harmful than opiates.

The reason why opiates are such an issue is that pain is such an issue. It is a sad statement of the US though how many get addicted to painkillers... It really just shows how much of a problem with self control we have.

I've said this before, but I prefer a really small dose of hydro on a blue moon to marijuana. Every time I do marijuana, I hate how it deadens my ability to quickly recall things and to quickly think in a deductive, mathematical way. I don't like the way it slows me down. Hydro has no hangover.

Really? How did you get to be such an expert?

In light of this information, I am wondering how you can explain the millions of daily users that have been using it for 40+ years, yet have no health problems?

They have done studies on it and marijuana really does decrease academic ability. Hot smoke is bad for your lungs, that's not questionable either. MJ does cause panic too, that's pretty well known. IMO it's not good to do something every day.

I will ask you the same question then:

How do you explain the millions of long-term daily users that have fully functional brains and lungs, and finds it relaxing, and not panic inducing in the least?

Yeah.

Big pharma.

Not all the goombas who have to get high to have a good time.

Btw, schedule 2 drugs ( which pretty much include any opiates except for codeine) are hella hard to prescribe now. Have been for over a year.

So...who will druggies blame for their lack of character and discipline next?

not everybody drinks alcohol to have a good time but 10s of millions do, if you add up all the people that drink alcohol, smoke pot or do some other you are talking more than half the populous.

Yes there is. One loon thought he could fly from a 4th floor balcony after ingesting your "harmless" weed and splattered himself all over the ground.

Anyone who deliberately ingests a substance to alter their mind because it is "harmless" is an idiot and a complete moron.

And I don't want to hear the excuse du jour about alcohol. That dog doesn't hunt anymore.

one loon did he overdose?? no!!! opiates kill 10s of thousands annually, alcohol kills like 1600 from overdose alone..

pot kills less people than

guns

alcohol, you know your brother

cigarettes

opiates and all sorts of other meds

I've known hundreds over my life that smoked pot not one died from it

I cant wait to see at least ten states or more with legal pot in 2016.. man that's going to yank your chain.!!!

Do you have anything remotely close to factual supporting that allegation?

This was a tremendously powerful statement by Christie regarding a law school mate. I heard this so many times, a person get's injured goes to the doctor and next thing he's addicted to pain killers. All walks of life are impacted by this addiction, too many pain killers being prescribed by physicians, some shouldn't even be on the market.

Watch Christie's emotional plea for drug reform that wowed Rachel Maddow
