You can always tell who, in an earlier age, would have taken off their hat as the mill owner's carriage drove by.

Are business owners entitled to employ others?

This is incorrect. No one is entitled a job but employers have to employee within the framework of federal and state law. For example, if someone is fired because of they want to take a 30 minute lunch break during an 8 hour shift, the firing would be considered illegal/unjustified [in California] because of the state meal break laws...

Agreed. It seems like many times it is due to personality clashes. Frankly we do not have to like everybody but everyone should be polite and respectful to each other. Seems like such a simple idea.

So you believe that minimum wage workers like myself don't disagree with liberal economic policy because we just don't see the logic in it, but rather it's because we are mindless drones who just can't see through our capitalist overlords?

This is a part of the reason I will never vote left even though I am on a minimum. I will not support people who talk down to me like that.

I know what the law is and it is wrong. Would you like the govt to tell you who to admit into your home and what and when to feed them?

What if your employer talked down to you like that?

You can also tell who would envy the mill owner enough to steal his property.

why generalize? Do you really think every person ever to be fired deserved it?

I am sure many did. But sometimes its done out of revenge or something else unethical, or unlawful. We have labor laws in this country. Much to the dismay of many.
