All this means is that Target will have 10 more days of nearly empty shelves.
Their supply chain sucks, at least in this part of the country. They rarely have what I'm looking for there. Not sure why I even bother with it anymore.
It seems everyone is doing this year... probably because they got bad rap for making people work on thanksgiving instead of spending time with their families....

Target is afflicted with a condition known as "falling profits."
Seem to be doing fine here. I like shopping there because for some reason, (I am assuming its because they have no grocery section) I can do my shopping without running into little kids with no parents,not here the chatter of Spanish being spoken everywhere and its much cleaner than Wal Mart. Its lovely.
Its probably a staffing issue for many stores. If they have a mass of shoppers being drawn in, then they have to have just about every employee there to handle the crowds. That means 12 hours or so of every register being open, sales clerks everywhere, every manager there, not to mention extra staffing for security, loss prevention, customer service. And they have hoards of bottom feeders coming in looking for a small number of great deal items with many or most going away empty handed and irritated because the discount items sell out immediately. Then they have to tackle the balance of sales vs payroll or not having enough employees to handle that short time frame or having enough employees but then not meeting sales projections or not needing them a week later. Its more than a science, its a business. Everything has to make sense and produce the desired results since money is on the line.
Give employees one day off and that frees up scheduling pressures for the rest of the week plus sales can easily be made up for one lost day over the next 30 days. Plus online shopping is draining sales away and customers don't like having to deal with crowds of pushy greedy ignorant idiots fighting them over crappy items.
They've had a ton of stuff on sale already. Most of my Christmas shopping is already done.

Wish mine was. Few things on layaway...waiting for wife's next check to put more on layaway....so many things that needed done,got my license back,3 birthdays in November and 1 in January and Thanksgiving and Christmas in between....so much stuff so little money!
It was bad enough that Black Friday moved to Thanksgiving Day.
But now Target has moved it back even further to that Monday before Thanksgiving.
...
That ain't right.
