ISIS is the epitome of Islam in the world and seeks to submit to the teachings of the prophet who may not be cartoon drawn. There is more than one path to enlightenment in Islam but the path that ISIS is taking is the highest path. They are killing infidels, taking their women as wives or sex slaves, killing gays, destroying anything or anyone that offends Islam and enforcing their interpretation of Islam.
ISIS has now popped up in Pakistan which has at least 60 long range nuclear missiles and a history of great instability and civil unrest. The NW corner near Afghanistan (Waziristan?) is just ripe for ISIS.
A question I don't imagine has been fully addressed is, what does ISIS actually want? What is its motivation?
Sure it can: Power.
Look at every single militant organization in the Middle East. They always say something righteously Islamic and in the end it's Power over others and riches beyond their dreams.
I said my Persian friend was complaining too much and he looked shocked and said "But thats what you do. You go to another country and criticize it."
