From Yahoo: The fans chanted "Allahu Akbar" (God is great), booed the Greek team and also shouted slogans in favour of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul's Basaksehir stadium, an AFP photographer said.

Turkish football fans regularly shout nationalist slogans at matches and it was not immediately clear if the behaviour was more aimed against historic rivals Greece than condoning the Paris attacks in any way.

The game ended in a goalless draw.

At a qualifying match for next year's Euro 2016 football championship in the central Anatolian city of Konya last month, supporters also shouted "Allahu Akbar" during a moment of silence commemorating the 102 victims of twin suicide bombings in tha capital Ankara blamed on IS.

odd
What I find most odd is how westerners are somehow shocked that Muslims worship in a cult of death and destruction.

Muslims operate under an alien of morals and I wonder why people just refuse to get that.

When threatened they will cowardly say "we are the religion of peace" but the minute your back is turned the knives will come out and they will just as soon slit your throat as look at you.

I have to say that I don't understand this religion at all. Religion of peace? Certainly doesn't sound like Islam. I don't believe ALL Muslims are terrorists, but it seems like those "moderate" ones are the ones who are not practicing.

The West is an expression of a liberal enlightened view of human existence which invented the rights of man and continues topromote these values. The people of the West do not hate the Muslims as the more fundamentalist Muslims hate the West. The West generally rejects Islam as a retrograde medieval religion which reverses centuries of religious reform and social progress. To the West Islam is like Christianity before the Reformation and Islamic society as one which has not yet experienced an Age of Enlightenment. Muslims are offended by this perception which makes them hate the West even more. The more successful the West the greater the hate. As long as the West refuses to admit Islamic society is superior to the West Muslims will hate the West.

The answer why lies in a quote from an 1899 book by Sir Winston Churchill, "The River War," in which he describes Muslims he apparently observed during Kitchener's campaign in the Sudan:

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property - either as a child, a wife, or a concubine - must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen; all know how to die; but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science - the science against which it had vainly struggled - the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."

A lot of Westerners are perplexed that Muslims show such contempt for people helping them. They don't understand that Muslims have a very alien set of values and morals. To Muslims, Allah towers above them, and he is often an arbitrary god. Everything flows from him to his chosen people, the Muslims. That goes for good things and bad things.

This is sometimes labeled "in'shallah fatalism". This fatalism means that Muslims are rewarded by Allah in return for being a "good Muslim", and punished by Allah, for lapses, but also facetiously,

In this dynamic, when we "infidels" (that's you and me - we are considered unworthy and even sub-human by Muslims), give Muslims charity, credit does not accrue to us - how could it - we are "unbelievers" - but all credit for our largesse redounds to Allah and Allah only.

Give a Muslim $1,000,000 and he will thank Allah for making the subhuman infidel reward a pious deserving Muslim.

Remember this as our fellow citizens inanely extend charity to thankless Muslims, and then are shamed by those same Muslims for somehow transgressing Islam... Being kind to Muslims only earns their complete contempt. Such gestures reinforce to the Muslim's sense of superiority, and highlight the "infidel's" inferiority to the "good Muslim". We feed their worst supremacist notions by extending help and charity. This means all of our efforts have the exact opposite effect to what we expect or hope for.

If you give a Muslim food and shelter he have even greater contempt for you than if you had stood by and watched him, along with his family, starve to death.

They are enemies. All of them. Their ideology is more poisonous that Hitler, Hirohito, or Karl Marx's communism. Islam must be beggared and destroyed, or we will die.

Let them in your country, they suck welfare benefits like rats and breed like cats. No intention of assimilating into your society in a productive way. Good luck in another 50 years Europe.

I found that line to be ironic.

I think the insane Islamic extremism spreading throughout the ME and the world is going to have about the same results.
