and the government doctors do it because they are afraid of spending on the correct tests...and don't forget the government FDA too
the FDA with all its restrictions and protections of patents (ie why did they extend the patent on the blue pill (viagra), when a generic would make it more affordable to the people with ED that need it.... if you can get a generic for $30/month (use 1/day example) versus 'name brand' for $500/month, why would you consider getting a 'counterfiet for $40/month???
the FDA has ALWAYS been behind the curve... the government either kills you slowly by no approving things, or kills you fast by over-regulating things
its no different from the '''government care'' of the VA
I injured my back in 2003,,, what was recommended back then was FUSING of the vertebra ...well in Europe they have been doing disc replacement for 20 years...finally in 2004 the FDA approved for that type of surgery here,,,,,tried to get it in 2005,,through TRI-CARE (the GOVERNMENT health care system for the military) they said "NO, its a new experimental procedure"....even though it had been done for the last 20 years in Europe........the government answer,,,deal with the pain, or get FUSED and lose mobility and still have pain
the FDA has been screwed up for years, the government has been full of red tape for years...its the government red tape...always has been, always will be
I am retired Army..I know exactly what kind of crappy care comes from the VA
the same VA that couldn't diagnose a ruptured(herniated) disc in my back after I got hurt in Iraq, the va x-rayed my back.......20 times......could not find the problem...they said DDD.....
I paid for ONE , MRi and found the 3 herniated discs,, one of them completely disintegrated.....and then started getting the treatment, had my back surgery in 2007
sorry, but government care, and the government redtape and regulations is crappy care, and the consumer getting screwed
open up the market, get rid of the government red tape, and you will find that we not onlyt have the best healthcare, but also the most affordable
the government is the problem
