We pay $9000 a year for our selves and a 7 year old.
2016's increases to $12,000 a year for the same policies.

The only one loving Obamacare are the losers that are basically getting a welfare policies through subsidies.

It's going down.

I am at least going to change over to the actual company to avoid the exchange next year.

It's a self-inflicted wound.

I could purchase a policy from UHC in my state, but they are not at all competitive price-wise compared to other providers.

As far as I'm concerned, they priced themselves out of the individual market.

I've had them through my company for the last decade if not longer.
I also have them for retirement.
I also have a grandfathered plan. One that works for me and has worked for me for years in spite of HHS thinking otherwise.

I've never had any issues with UnitedHealthCare. They paid on time and when I got duplicate bills they promptly took action on the doctors/hospital (son's broken arm 2 years ago).

I don't know why you think they are one of the worst. I've never had a bad experience with them.

Yep, and people don't understand this being a major cost driver for insurance costs pre-ACA.

We must recall that UnitedHealth Group only released a statement saying that they are considering such action.

I will note that their earnings still seem to be strong, according to their press release of last month (October 15th):

http://www.unitedhealthgroup.com/Inv...F348D7886.ashx

Here is their press release from yesterday in which they temper the previous release, apparently:

I rather bet that UnitedHealth will not leave the exchanges, when all is said and done. But, time will tell.

Why 7.1 Million Obamacare Enrollees Is Wrong

But the useful idiots will never be convinced.

It is basically a series of mandates, taxes and an exchange, so financing will not be a problem.

To get rid of this thing, we are going to have to win the presidency. Then we can destroy it via reconcilliation.
I just went through this scenario for 2016 signup, and something is wrong with this story. On the healthcare.gov website, it clearly states dental plans are only available for those choosing health plans. You cannot buy dental care only through the marketplace.

This is a quote from the website: "Important: You can buy a dental plan through the federal Marketplace only when you enroll in a health plan at the same time."

But it really wasn't. You didn't have to pay for any of it.
Someone else paid the tab.

There is no truly "free" medical care.

Your high premiums should be the evidence of that.

But look back..they did offer stand alone dental plans.

Here's 2015 and 2014:
