So what do you mean works and makes no paychecks!! If you're self employed you have to pay taxes! You must file every year.. the only people I know of that are working and not making a paycheck are illegal.

Yes, sometimes some work off the books, but not enough do to really matter.. as it's hard to exist in this country without actually showing income to answer for!

This is all to no point anyway as Hillary Clinton WILL push UHC and it will happen anyway
I'm sure that does happen -- but there can be some oversight even required second opinions.

They've caught a number of doctors committing fraud -- charging for things that were never done, lab tests that were not run or needed. But what is even better is that insurance companies pushed hospital stays down and the sooner patients get out of the hospital the better. Fewer hospital acquired infections, fewer problems from extended bed rest and so on.

And also there was a move away from hospitals to outpatient settings for many things -- and those save a ton of money.

Some doctors are getting away from both government plans and insurance plans -- setting up their offices to accept cash -- provide the services the patient wants. These can be very good because by not having the paperwork and overhead for filing claims, the office visit can become quite affordable.

If it comes out of your paycheck then you pay into UHI.. How is it any different than all property owners paying taxes for schools and then deciding to send their kids to private school.. they still pay their school taxes ! If they want to chose to pay above and beyond what is neccesary that's their choice....

There are something like 45 million uninsured -- and a large number of them are illegals -- so why not just have a plan that these people pay into and that covers them?

It could be run by the government -- but maintained by taxes or premiums paid in by these uninsured.

Tara, --"There are non as blind as those who refuse to see" As you said Fear is fuelling this and you cannot change that. No matter who wins the Elections, the health care in the USA will change drastically. I'm not a Hillary fan but she WILL push her UHC plan through if she wins.

Property taxes do not come out of a paycheck

And, what are you going to do about those WHO DO NOT WANT UHI?

Who will not pay into UHI?

And, remember, Clinton wants EVERYONE - no opt out - she would FORCE EVERYONE to have UHI - she even said she would 'GARNISH" your bank account for the money

Hilary wants to force everyone to have UHC - she has said she will GARNISH someones bank account

With all respect - this is an AMERICAN CITIZEN issue - I suggest you have no say in this

And Hillary already proved what she intended. She would deny people a second opinion even if they would pay for one themselves. Her ideas were so extreme -- she meant to deny people the right to "extra" care if they wished to have it. Some people like seeing doctors -- and they're willing to pay for the reassurances they get -- but not with Hillary they wouldn't be doing that. Health care would be doled out as she sees fit.
