And yet they never say we're running out of welfare?

People work hard to earn social security, yet people on welfare do nothing?

Why does the FED always have money to give themselves great benefits and pay raises?
Why do our elected reps always have money to lease cars for themselves?
Why does the Fed always have money to use Air Force 1 for private vacations?
Why does the FED have money to give refugees good homes?
The Fed is a giant Hoover vacuum cleaner that sucks up our cash and pi$$es it away.

That's a good point.

How about people on welfare provide a vote for money scheme. Imagine what would happen if you told all the welfare Leech no more freebies and go get one of all those great Obama jobs moonbats are alway talking about.

Liberalism really should be classified as a mental illness.

I like how we have national debt, national deficit and have to raise the debt ceiling to borrow more and then....Congress "finds" an extra $80 billion to spend.

Because when they say that Social Security is going bankrupt, about 40-60% of the people that are planning to receive it someday, start putting more money in their IRAs and 401ks.

If or when the government says that money is running out for welfare:

The government is intelligent enough to know that if that is ever said that the possibility of riots breaking out in the streets increases. And the aftermath of mentioning that money for welfare might be running out is far more expensive than just continuing to pay the welfare out.

Welfare and social programs when paid by the government are just insurance premiums paid by the government to keep everyone calm and more or less behaving themselves.

Yep. And I like how NEITHER party will do a damned thing about it. They SAY they will, wait till they get in office and you'll see. Both parties love to dip their beak, they just spin it to their electorate in different ways.

the government doesn't say we're running out of social security.

i'm thinking that if you can't tell the difference between the government and politicians, you're probably not going to understand that your question was built on a false premise.

Only republicans say Social Security is running out of money (but its not.) Republicans want to privatize SS so its funding can be transferred to Wall Street, then Wall street corporations will be able to take huge fees from everyone's SS money.
