Some of you who are constantly talking down to Blacks and telling them how they should conduct every minutiae of life need to read this:

What whites don't know about racism (Opinion) - CNN.com

I particularly like the way the author started: "it's hard to know what you don't know, the premise being that when you're ignorant about something, you aren't likely to realize your blind spots...Sometimes, knowing what you don't know just requires a certain degree of humility". Of course, "white humility" is pretty uncommon on C-D current events and similar forums.

I found it particularly interesting that White males who drop out of high school dropouts find it easier to find jobs than Blacks with 2 years of college.

This opinion piece by Tim Wise is not a current event. Perhaps it would fit better in POC?

I believe this applies to everyone regardless of skin color. Whites are not the only folks lacking in humility about things they don't know.

Should be in Great Debates. Nothing current about something that, at best, is ongoing.

Perhaps Great Debates is a better choice, although what is being discussed is the basis for current racially charged events. To me, cause and effect.

Oh really? Have you? Are you well recognized in the field? Written any books on the topic. Lead training sessions on the topic throughout the nation? That's the key difference.

The sticky for current events clearly states no controversial topics.

No, I am not a professional race-stirrer.
