If this is true he should guilty of treason. Sadly, I believe this. His actions line up with his words.
What's true is this:
The Iraqis we've been training and arming for the past dozen years (more than halfway to a military retirement) won't fight for Iraq. When faced by a small ISIS force they vastly outnumbered and outgunned, they ran like jackrabbits.
Of course, you're completely free to take their word on the ridiculous assertion that "the US is backing ISIS." Cowards tend to make up all kinds of lies to try to appear as fighters instead of deserters. And no doubt you'll cling to it if it makes the president look bad, no matter how silly the story is. Because the right's irrational hatred of the man has turned their brains to dust.
Iraq belongs to Dubya and Chicken Dick Cheney. It's their disaster. They broke it. They ran a months-long campaign of disinformation to generate support for their bs oil war.
It's not anyone else's fault that their poorly planned and incompetently managed invasion blew up in thier faces.
We should pull every last serviceman and piece of US equipment out of the middle east immediately and leave them to themselves. They'll just continue the endless 10,000 year slaughter that characterizes the region.
