Not in this situation. IMHO

Seriously?
I am leaning towards homegrown Jihadis as opposed to ISIS. I mean, they could have had contact with ISIS, but I don't think they are from ISIS controlled territory or spent time there.

I think they went after a place that one of them knew. I mean, he could have gone to the party, cased the joint, maybe took the opportunity to finally tell someone he hated what he thought of them (it's not like he will have to worry about losing his job), and then went back to the crew and they loaded up.

That makes a lot more sense than "Like, maybe this is workplace violence" because the only people who have friends that are willing to kill a bunch of people at the drop of a hat are hardcore gangsters and terrorists. And people in the former rarely tend to hold regular employment.

some will always slip through, that cant be helped. but we can at least make the attempt rather than just let everyone in without vetting.

It goes both ways. You probably have a problem calling that shooting on a political (in our crazy society) target terrorism in that case, but will quickly do so with little factually know about this case yet. Basically, everybody is just rambling nonsense until we know for sure.

The difference is one is a fundamental right of human beings (re protection) and is also protected under the constitution. The other is choice (allow Muslim refugees).

Why allow Muslim refugees? Even if they don't blow themselves up or commit another terrorist attacker, does anyone expect them to positively contribute to this country? Or will they continue to leech our resources.

Sure it's nice, but so are many things we can do that are nice. Let's not waste our time with Muslim refugees, let them find Muslim nations instead.

This incident will put everyone who works with Muslims on alert. They may be laughing with you one minute and shooting you the next.

Ideally US and other Western countries should take ZERO Syrian Muslim refugees.

The Syrians can be helped by creating refugee camps in neighboring countries. US and other Western countries can give Aid money towards that, even though the oil rich Arabs have enough excess money that money is not even an issue.
