No, there haven't. There have been 4 mass shootings in the United States this year, possibly 5 after San Bernardino. The study you are referencing is complete bunk and completely ignores the criteria used by the FBI for mass shootings. It lumps separate shootings, sometimes taking place as much as 12 hours apart, into one incident. That is only one of its many flaws. The editor of Mother Jones even tore it apart, and you won't find any online "news" site that is farther to the left than Mother Jones.
