it is judging and wanting to punish all those who already have guns for the actions of a few.

you can't spin your way out of it.

It wouldn't have happened if Cecil had a gun.

Then I guess you have the answer to your own question on why would anyone blame the gun, same reason why someone would blame race and religion for the actions of an individual.

Inanimate objects can't defend themselves. It is a one way street, an easy win when your opposition is silent.

Objects are like sacrificial zinc on a rudder, they take the blame away from people and follow the social justice truth that 'you are not responsiblefor your actions'.

Everyone knows Cecil's name but not the name of the two 9year old kids kiiled as co lateral damage in a gang turff war.

I predict this question will be inconvenient for some, and possibly insult is headed your way.

Edit: Opps I was right. Someone already talking about his tiny gentiles.
That wasn't an insult, that was stating a fact about anyone who feels the need to trophy hunt has small genitals. He probably own a Porsche too because their seats are designed for people with small genitals.

It's Cecil's fault, he shouldn't have been hanging around Americans, everyone knows they usually have guns.

An inconvenience, like a background check or not being able to buy a clip as large as you would like, is not a punishment.

I was well aware of that, but my response is still he same, those who blame the gun are the same that blame race and religion.

Though when talking about access to guns and those that are buying guns, then you are talking about something different.
