I have guns, bought through mail order and delivered to my door, via the mailman. Who took my rights to obtain a weapon and surely my ability, when the 2nd amendment says hell NO they can't.

I mean come on. I can take unlimited choices and narrow it down to one, and say you have a choice. You have the choice to arm yourself, or not... That is your choice.
Your freedom and your 2nd amendment was not taken. You can have a bb gun.

I have no problem passing a background check. I would just prefer not to have any more hoops to pass through because of a feel good law which does nothing to stop what it is meant to stop. Especially when said law is unconstitutional.

Why were we not told a back ground check must be performed from the beginning of the US. Constitution, in the 2nd amendment. The document chaining down the government on the matter of ARMS?

Why just in the last 40 years? Have they decided this was within the constitution?
Why in the last 100 years? Have they decided we could not make and buy any weapon we wish? Remember, they are the government that the founders knew would try to disarm the people, of the very weapons capable of defense of a tyrannical government.

During his overblown speeches when Obama demands gun control . . how many times have you heard him admit that his beloved Chicago which has some of the strictest gun control laws in our nation also has some of the highest number of shootings?

Government has created a "black market" where one never ever existed before. The Right of the People Shall not be Infringed?

Hmmmmm? how can that even happen, when we have always told the government in the original document of the bill of rights, HELL NO YOU DON"T.

There is no such thing, as a "black market" in guns. Rights don't have "black markets" ONLY GOVERNMENT CAN TAKE MY RIGHTS!

The guy driving guns and selling them, is no different than the stagecoach driver hauling gold in the past. He had someone riding shotgun, because there were all kinds of people that wanted what he had. It becomes a problem, when it is the government that wants it. That is tyrannical, in a free society.

How long did you have to dig for this story? The stats for CCW holders committing a crime with a firearm are roughly 0.006%. This includes minor offenses such as taking their firearm into a gun free zone by accident. That's lower than the rate of police officers committing crime. You'd be safer in a roomful of CCW holders than you would be at a policeman's ball.

I could post a link per day to a story about a child in Chicago getting shot, and those aren't done by CCW holders.

Before you ask, the 0.006% stat comes from the crime prevention research center.

What do you make of this?

Since the expiration of the gun ban in 2004, the number of shootings per year has doubled, and the number of victims per year has nearly tripled. Three of the bloodiest four years shown here occurred since the expiration.
Did the federal ban on assault weapons matter?

If you ever found yourself trapped in an area where a mass shooter was shooting, what type of gun would you hope he has?

To purchase or own a gun, you should have to carry liability insurance on it, just like a car. Proof of insurance would be required prior to the purchase of a gun. This is a free market solution – the insurance industry would make an actuarial judgement on your risk as a gun owner – something they are quite good at in other fields. Purchases are registered. If that weapon is used in a crime, the owner (thru the insurance and deductibles) pays – a lot.

The lack of insurance on a gun used in a crime could carry mandatory incarceration for the registered owner.

If Obama really wanted fewer guns, he shouldda never mentioned the word "gun."

What are the real numbers of gun sales under the Obama administration though?

One researcher took the time to crunch the numbers and figure it all out.

Using FBI background check data as a proxy for gun sales, Fox News reporter William La Jeunesse estimates that over 100 million guns have been sold to American citizens during the Obama administration. This number could likely be even higher as many states allow concealed carry permit holders to use their permits to skip the background check process.
