Thats the REAL issue. The reality is the vast majority of Americans are killed by other Americans not foreign terrorists, that's what we need to be focusing on. Every day Americans are killed and I don't see our people protesting about that in the streets why is that? Why are our politicians not talking about murders here? Why don't their lives matter? I realize this is a difficult concept for you to grasp but does the phrase "existential threat" mean anything to you? Does the fact that you don't see American out proudly sawing people's heads off in job lots mean anything to you? Does the fact that you don't see Americans out burning people alive in significant numbers mean anything to you? Does the fact that you don't see Americans out enslaving very large numbers of women as sexual toys mean anything to you? Probably your answer to every question would be No because you are a leftist and your principle purpose in life is to criticize and degrade Americans.
There are close to 60,000 state and local law enforcement officials in the US that are quite focused on American on American crimes.
Are you arguing for more police?
Personally, I don't think we need more police, we just need to move them from the neighborhoods that don't want them to those that do. We also need to move the ones who focus on things like marijuana laws, prostitution laws, gambling laws and traffic enforcement revenue generation into roles focusing on personal and property crime.

Of course we need to be diligent to stop crime in the USA but if you are in Baltimore, if they gonna kill each other, give them space to do it.
Have you forgotten about the 3000 killed on 911 and there is a desire and capability to kill millions on the part of ISIS...if they set off a nuke in NYC, you would be asking why didn't we focus more on ISIS?

Crime is at an all time low, but that doesn't make for profitable news If you deduct violent crime in Chicago, Baltimore, St. Luis, and several other major cities we would be quite safe
