The 1st didn't mention the internet either. Are you saying there is no free speech there?

Having an all-out gun frenzy sounds a lot like the Middle East right now. Are people sure they want that?

Not really. It reinforced the fact that a stronger fed gov't was needed to deal with situations like that. Of course it was one factor among others but it was not dismissed as irrelevant.

There is internet freedom, until government says there isn't.

Government was created to secure our Freedom & Liberties. Not take them away by limiting or eliminating our choices to be free.

God, thats hilarious. We need an invention of the last few years in order to have free speech then?

I can safely assure you that the newspapers were alive and well in those days.

All I can picture are millions of pickup trucks with millions of people with guns in the air standing in the beds of those trucks driving randomly all over the country trying to find terrorists which use the internet and other methods to make their whereabouts and potential attack locations random. It will be a wild goose chase where you can't even see the goose. And those people will become profiler, judge, jury, and executioner.

Sure. What the hell. Give 'em all guns.

Why can't people just leave others alone?

No its not. You have a choice. Do it or not. The anti-gun Clown Terrorists, don't want you to have that choice. Anti-Gun folks always come up with this kind of irrational thinking.

You should have thought about that before you posted, and left the folks in here alone. Irrational..

The nation has been at threat for decades-our enemy was always within. I'll probably buy a gun soon but not because of any recent events.

Thank you. And the founders were fully involved in reinforcing that government, including providing for the militia to suppress insurrections. I don't understand his attempts to downplay or pass over the founder's decisions and actions in that regard.
