We just witnessed a political speech - a campaign speech, if you will, but not a leadership speech.

A leadership speech includes the words, 'Follow me..." or "Follow us...,"

We didn't hear anything like that.

Sad.

Denying Constitutional rights without due process won't ever happen (no fly list gun ban). It's unConstitutional. And doesn't solve the problem, as we clearly saw in SB.

He's my president. I want a strong show of how we will defeat terrorism. I want him to unite us.

This speech did not do either of those things. Not even close.

Not a bad speech. As a shooter I have no issue with the gun control measures he mentioned. I disagree with him on discrimination in our policies. WE should be more critical of people from certain regions and countries. Overall I give his speech a 7 out of 10. He came across as reasonable and willing to work with the other side.

Synopsis:
Trust me. Keep admitting Muslims from around the globe in mind-boggling numbers.
They are just like you and me. Except they hate us and want to kill us.
And turn in your black guns.

The Republicans need to say they will vote for gun restrictions for the no flyer list and then work immediately to reform the incompetence and problems with the no flyer list -- thousands of ordinary people are on it because they have the same name as people on it. This included Ted Kennedy, 75 people who work for Homeland Security, and some journalists.

Obama doesn't care about terrorism. He cares about gun control and attacking Americans who disagree with him.

There was no substance at all about fighting terrorism.

Obama is the only one who says ISIL....he has never said Radical Terrorists, nor has he said ISIS. He is again playing right into their hands and trying to fog us by giving us his typical BS about gun control.

His beloved Chicago has some of the strictest gun control laws in our nation, and is at the top of the list for shootings.
