They aren't religious in a traditional sense, but they operate under strict divine beliefs. Free speech and economic freedom are suppressed. These conditions are reflective of theocratic repression. Wouldn't you say socialism and communism are secular religions to an extent?

What is your definition of religion vs a political philosophy?


The typical dictionary definition of religion refers to a "belief in, or the worship of, a god or gods" or the "service and worship of God or the supernatural"

Both hold sacred views regardless of evidence contrary to their beliefs. Both, communism and fascism, are religions. Too much of either isn't compatible to the human condition.

Because they're monolithic totalitarian regimes.

I'd rather not refer to them inaccurately.
