Therein lies the problem.

Too many want the gov't to do things for them instead of doing for THEMSELVES.

JFK said, "Ask NOT what your country can do for you but, what YOU can do for your country".

I only want the gov't to do what is spelled out in the Constitution.

It is the gov't responsibility to set a framework so WE can do for ourselves under protection of the gov't.

- Stay Out Of Our Lives.
- Reward those who work for a living
- Reduce taxes for EVERYONE
- Get rid of waste in government
- Make government work more efficiently
- Preserve our freedoms
- Listen to the American people

When one side believes that is true? I don't see how you can argue that it isn't true. Something that belongs to you is taken by force, regardless of consent, and used in ways that you may or may not approve of (usually NOT, in many people's cases). That is theft in any situation, and one can't excuse it based on the fact that we use a different word to make it sound like something different. It's logically the same thing, so claimimg that it isn't theft is what is irrational. You can make a case that the theft is justified, but it's still theft.

Your first paragraph assumes that those things can't be accomplished peacefully or voluntarily. If the government doesn't do it, the demand is still there for those services. I prefer to choose between competing organizations that can't control me by force, rather than a monopoly that imposes its services and pricing on me and doesn't allow competitors. Ironic because people want the government to protect against monopolies, right?

Most importantly, it's about respecting others. I know that I don't want others to be able to force their opinions on me, therefore I don't want to do that to others. It's the golden rule...do unto others as you'd have done unto you...love your neighbor as yourself.

The government needs to have much less power....
Give power back to the state....
They need to conscentrate on a strong military which makes a very strong nation
They need to stop giving money away to people who refuse to work for a living...
Government needs to become much more vigulant in obeying our laws...
they need to provide our police with military equipment...we live in a new world that calls for such
They need to stop spending our money like it's water and stop interferring in school education

I am the government.


So what do I want? I want representatives that look out for the best interests of the people they represent while at the same time leaving the people to control their own destinies. I want to provide the means to defend ourselves. I want representatives who understand that they must use the funds sent to them in a responsible manner. I understand that federal laws need to be in place for the different states to coexist. These laws need to be reasonable and not restrict anyone's freedom in pursuing their own objectives.


There's more, but that's the basics.
