What states require guns to be registered? I live in Missouri, guns are not registered here.

I can't answer that, the one I was referring to is California

I've never heard of that, I have a friend whose background check was delayed and they had to submit fingerprints in order to get the clearance, they were told that a person with the same name and DOB showed up as a restricted person and they needed proof that he wasn't that person.

Only "new" guns are registered and you can still buy a C and R gun capable of shooting modern velocity and rates without these "background checks" and other comfy measures are really just window dressing.

Feel better now?

What was that for? You went off the deep end because I said I didn't know which states required gun registration other than California? Dude you need to relax...

I haven't even had my coffee this am. Just thought a little bit of reality might be good in this thread back to your usual programming. Have a great day.

I'm heading to the Del Mar gun show Parking is ridiculous.

If anyone wants to hook up at the show BMW M3 with SANDMAN CA plates I'll get you a discount.

But it has led to confiscation. Stop lying please.
What are you making reference to? Examples?

the homicide rate has nothing to do with gun ownership, gun legalization, or gun registration

you could take all the guns away, and we still would have a high homicide rate.....we have a high population...higher than any European country

and yet we have a lower GUN murder rate than many countries...

lets look at some of the stats

homicides in australia.....510
homicides in the usa....14,000

and of the 14000 homicides average per year.....10000 of them are VEHICULAR homicides....10,000 people die by vehicle every year....don't see you wanting to ban vehicles

population australia.....22,000,000
population usa....320,000,000

homicide number to population ratio....Australia 2.318181818181818
homicide number to population ratio.... USA...... 0.00004375

hmm less homicides in America than Australia, compared to population

and of the 14000 homicides average per year.....1000 of them are VEHICULAR homicides....10,000 people die by vehicle every year

we have 320 million people meanwhile western Europe is 400 million...pretty darn close..and if you ADDED up all the homicides in ALL those countries...it would be HIGHER than the USA

number of STABBING/CUTTING homicides in America in 2012.....1890....that's five times more than ALL homicides in great britton, or france, or Australia...................

guess we should outlaw knives too

additional fact:
the fact that gun crime in the UK has actually doubled since they've banned handguns...

.
UK gun owners - Telegraph
Some awfully long answers, can't you simplify, why post population when speaking to rate.

Firearm related deaths Australia .18 per 100,000; US 3.55 per 100,000

Yep. Just like the Visa issue and entrance for Muslims. Muslims are often put on no fly lists and claim discrimination because they aren't terrorists and shouldn't be on there. Now they won't let them buy a gun if they are on the no fly list? I highly doubt they'll let this fly. I'm sure they'll be screaming for justice on CNN........

Oh wait, Obama wants this, ok then never mind. They'll love it!! Expect to see high fives and cheers in the streets.

There have been confiscations based on registered arms. Your insistence it doesn't happen is incorrect.
