Media is reporting that a source says it " appeared" the electronic communications came from overseas.

There are millions of so called dashboard terrorists in the US and around the world. The intent in to create and sustain fear and paranoia.

Is the timing of this particular threat and this evening's debate a coincidence?

There is a great possibility that this was a well intentioned warning, rather than a "threat", i.e. somebody who overheard something reaching out to try to save lives.

Real terrorists don't typically give warnings. Kids and crackpots do.

Detailed information, happened upon by a decent person and passed on as best they could, would be taken a lot more seriously than a classic threat
