Reading an article about the polarization of the Democrat party. Very alarming article of how the Democrats want Hillary to be elected. However, key Democrat leader in the article went on about a few thing's regarding the Democrats switch to being more centered. They feel they been pushing Clinton away to the right and again bring the party back to the Center. Goes on about a 70 page document of Democrats party plan's against Bernie Sanders.
The article pulled a few things out one was income equality. They compared how Bernie views income equality unbalanced unfair for the Middle Class. Democrat's blame it on the globalization of the economy that effects the Middle Class.
Two questions how does a globalized economy effect the Middle Class?
What's your thought's on this?
It pretty much eliminates them.
You end up with 2 classes ..the workers and the wealthy.
We do not have enough resources to support middle classes in every country.
And the US is almost there. We don't talk about blue collar, white collar, poor, working, middle classes.
EVERYONE is now middle class or wealthy. Those poor on welfare are called the "struggling middle class".
Since when are people on welfare considered "middle class" ?

Our middle class is rich compared to other parts of the world. They want to take from "the rich middle class" to pay for the worlds poor.
I don't know if I qualify as middle class working $20 an hour part time. I rent a room for $300 a month because rent is too expensive to afford in my state. Taxed at 5% state tax and 22% federally. Throw in living expensives, some debt, and gas it's tough.
Wouldn't it improve if offered tax breaks to companies in the US, higher tariffs on imported goods, increase research/science job's in the US, and promote agriculture growth in the US. Wouldn't that balance the Middle Class out.
All of that would help, but one of the biggest issues is global wage arbitrage. There's a huge difference between what Americans want to be paid and what workers in foreign countries are paid.
People overestimate how much of the labor problems are due to globalization. It is a contributor, but the thing with globalization is our loss is someone else's benefit, so I don't see it to be the devil that other people do. The failure of unions to be as workable and functional as other parts of the world, our tax and government expenditure model, and legislative rulings that continually favor the consumer and investor over the worker have taken a greater toll.

Don't you think that improving wages world wide is a good thing though, even if that comes at the cost of some of your own benefit?
The era of unions and the middle class blue collar worker is over. They have been regulated to lower middle class to poor or entitlement dependent citizens. It's sad really because the very people they voted for put them there. The TPP will be the stake in their heart.
Yes, the middle class would have declined anyway but policies promoted by both parties are hastening the decline of the middle class
