First, you assume my profession.
You said you are a lawyer.

So how was I just assuming that?

Were you lying?

Your sarcastic response to my correct statement that you are not a lawyer was...AND YOU ARE?

And again, for the record, I'm not Puerto Rican either.

Don't make assumptions.

I doubt his mixed heritage rather than being fully African-American made a difference. As Biden said, Obama was 'the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man." Unless you're suggesting a fully African-American candidate couldn't have those attributes ?

It wasn't sarcastic.

It was a question.

Don't make ridiculous arguments about Puerto Ricans.

Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid praised Obama for not speaking in "a Negro dialect."

Of course, if a Republican had said that....

We will have to disagree here. His entire experience as a mixed person attracted many people, including having a generational white American mother and being a first generation born American on his father's side. That was part of his appeal.

Now it wasn't sarcastic or an assumption?

_________

Ridiculous arguments regarding Puerto Ricans? Please.

"William Rios, intended to clarify that he was a U.S. citizen, a Puerto Rican, and a veteran; hence, he flashed his military service card. On his trek 'goin' to Chicago, he, like other 'colored' Puerto Ricans, was compelled to submit to Jim Crow, in the South, but in the North as well."

Seems like there are a surprising number of people who don't understand academic titles.
Oh yeah, the thread where that Aspergers poster child felt the need to inform Christians last year that Christmas Day was "just another Thursday" to non-Christians.
