tell us again how they're all the same
That's why there are different cults following the same god. They don't agree on a lot of fundamentals.

Jesus is considered a major prophet in Islam, but not the Son of God. The Jews view him as a rabbi.

Hey, at least they have something to threaten you with to keep you in line and donating to The Cause.

if it follows the Old Testament, then Muslims should know that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel and home of the Jews. Maybe Muhammed was a Zionist

Google "Council of Nicea". It was all driven by church politics with much wheeling, dealing, and horse trading.

Wow, if the choral director in my school district had the kids sing a Muslim anthem, he'd need a net in front of the stage to protect the poor kids from flying tomatoes, eggs and other missiles (directed at the choral director, not the kids).

What anthem?

Yeah, there's a lot of ignorance in the world. Leads to fear, which turns to hatred. Human beings are a pretty sad lot sometimes.

Yeah, and this year, it ended sometime in July. That song had no place in this concert.

Yet another reason to send kids to private schools.

Reading is fundamental.

Go back to my original post on the topic. You'll see that I said, "I'd suggest you read the Koran and see how much of it follows the Old Testament."

Never said all of it did. But particularly in the early parts, most people would hardly realize they were reading the Koran and not the Old Testament. Eventually the Koran gets sidetracked off into the "hate Jews" aspect, at which point it strongly diverges.

But, I was wrong to suggest that you try reading the Koran. Before you tackle such a big assignment, try tackling reading posts here and interpreting them correctly.
