2 words: civil disobedience. Dr King had it down pat 50 years ago. Just that he and his crew kept things classy which made the racists look stupid.

You posted about Obama. This thread has nothing to do with federal government. Perhaps you can explain why you're bringing Obama up in a municipal ordinance issue.

For those saying its JUST a permit to feed the homeless you are wrong here is the LIST of things you must do to get a permit to merely feed people

The third annual event for DontComply. com where we break the law that restricts people from giving to the less fortunate. It is against Dallas City ordinance to feed homeless of over 75+ people without
*Giving the city notification
*Taking food handling classes
*Obtaining a license
*Keeping foods at proper temperature
*Using gloves to serve or running water with 5 gallon sink for handwashing, collecting ALL water to be disposed of properly.
The police that were watching us called code compliance and then four government employees showed up. They told us about the ordinance, gave us paperwork, and went on their way. We fed 400 people that day. Risking our freedom to show that you don't need permission to show humanity and give back to those less fortunate. We had so much food and winter clothing donated that there was enough winter clothing donated that there was enough left over to give to the shelter to distribute throughout the winter months as needed.
Thank you kindly to all that gave up their time, money and risked freedom for this small act of kindness. You are the real Heros in today's twisted world.

You're correct about hot & cold holding. They do need a handwash station as well. However in my city, if it's a temp event, they do not need to get a CFM. I believe the issue of this was that they had not gotten a temp event license, which is easy to do & in the case of a nonprofit organization, if it's a one-time event, the license would have been free. That is how it is in my city, don't know if it applies to cities around the country.
