There's nothing remotely conservative about these un-American loons, a real conservative supports freedom of religion .... all religions.
Working as public servant is not where you practice religion freely. Try again. You purists are a ****ing joke and will eventually be irrelevant.

Prove me wrong.
You keep rambling on about Islam, do we now need to vet police officers based on theri religious beliefs. The sheriff was doing some outreach to the various mosques, getting them to connect to the police force is a a positive step. But no, the local nut jobs have to try and destroy all that good karm with complete nonsense.

He was vetted, met the requirements for the job and swore to enforce the law, any reason he should be removed??

Even that assessment is giving them too much credit.

They're basically being motivated by their fear. chicken-chits have no conscience when it comes to the exercising "one set of rules for me and another for thee".

Try reading what I was responding to instead of your usual knee jerk reaction.

This "activist" (the toothless old dude in blue) needs to get a life.

Did this deputy do something wrong? He served the country and community and has done nothing wrong, why should he be banned simply because he is a Muslim?

Please, islam deserves to be criticized, but this type of hatred is just too much.

Well, I guess that explains why there were chaplains and rabbis holding services at the front during the world wars and every military campaign since. Those hundreds of thousands of guys involved and the ones preaching, weren't performing a public service on behalf of the taxpaying public.

If Islam was just a religion, then no problem. The problem is that Islam is a totalitarian political system that its followers are directed to impose by violence.

He should. It is every Muslim's duty to be "enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong[1][2][3] (Arabic: ‎ al-amr bi-l-maʿrūf wa-n-nahy ʿani-l-munkar)". Who says what is right or wrong? Islam, of course. You can't have it both ways. Islam does not say you can leave your values and duties at home when you leave for work. The separation of work and religion is a western value foreign to Islam.

Is there any evidence that he is putting his religion above the law and not following or upholding his duties on the basis of his religion (or anything else for that matter)? If so, he shouldn't be a cop, but please provide any evidence supporting the claim, if not you have no point.
