I love how Obama -- the same president that promised unprecedented transparency -- invited several friendly columnists to the Blight House for a bit of a Christmas pep rally.......behind closed doors.

It seems that Americans just don't fully appreciate how incredibly awesome obama is -- save for several heavily-concussed obamabots here on CD -- so he decided to put out his own narrative on just what an accomplished president he truly is.

For obama, it's ALWAYS been about his legacy, never about the American people. Somewhere, his mother is looking up at the baby who interrupted her teenage years and smiling.

I voted against Obama twice. However, he is not as out of sync with America as this echo-chamber leads its participants to believe. His poll numbers are very good for a President in his 6th year. As the economy keeps limping ahead and with a few adjustments to his terrorist strategy, or lack thereof, he could wind up as popular an 8th year president as Reagan was.

Whomever the Democratic nominee is next year, one sure theme of her campaign will be to compare Obama's stewardship of the economy to Bush's. No Republican will want to answer a challenge on that front, nor could he.

It's got to be.

Bad enough that the New York Times attempted to polish the turd by removing his quote -- now we've got Obama inviting his favorite journos to DC for a sleepover.

Sad, sad example of a "leader".

CD is a strange place. You'd swear that his approval was in the teens on the economy in ruins going by what people say here.

I'm afraid you may be right.

You wonder if he's got something up his sleeve.

There's not much you can do except point and laugh at these right-wing shills.

I think he's going to do something crazy, like get America's uninsured rate under 10% and our U3 rate under 5%. Both easily achievable for 2016.

This type of nuttiness would be unthinkable under a Republican president--they only specialize in defense spending, quagmire wars, tax cuts for the obscenely rich, and gigantic recessions just before leaving office.

Judging by the number of whiney, hate-filled, nonsense threads about Obama lately, I'd say it's the opposite.
