Pain management is only one of several theraputic uses of cannabis. And no, it is not a pain killer like the opioids, but that doesn't mean it does not have a place in pain managment.

Of course medical MJ will never replace the need for stronger painkillers like Oxycodone but as studies have shown it may help in reducing the need for higher doses. Just being able relax and sleep is a great help to some.
Cannabalis will make you more aware of pain if anything.

Thank you and the other folks who have some empathy for those who suffer on a daily basis.

I'm willing to try it at this point. If it fails then I will go back to taking opioids. I have been basically home bound since stopping over a year ago. Not being able to do anything has also caused me to gain thirty pounds and that does not do my spine any good.

Are you taking Gabapentin? That often packs on the pounds. It's a blessing and a curse.

What's the matter? Are you paranoid someone will get high when medical marijuana is legalized?

You mean you tried using cannabis on your migraine headaches, and it only made the horrible pain even worse?

So you're saying patients use it even though it increases their pain.

Your argument is illogical.
