Pain management is only one of several theraputic uses of cannabis. And no, it is not a pain killer like the opioids, but that doesn't mean it does not have a place in pain managment.
Are you in constant unrelenting pain???? How can you speak for others and what they may feel??? You sound as if you have some sort of super powers to be able to feel what others feel.
Of course medical MJ will never replace the need for stronger painkillers like Oxycodone but as studies have shown it may help in reducing the need for higher doses. Just being able relax and sleep is a great help to some.

I'm willing to try it at this point. If it fails then I will go back to taking opioids. I have been basically home bound since stopping over a year ago. Not being able to do anything has also caused me to gain thirty pounds and that does not do my spine any good.

Are you taking Gabapentin? That often packs on the pounds. It's a blessing and a curse.
