Those archaic fossils in congress do not want to change the policy-- it would be to everyone's advantage to open those gates once and for all. I think many would go there to work instead of here--- the whole immigration thing might tip a bit- there will be investors to renew that beautiful island.

I don't understand why any Americans choose to hyphenate themselves in the first place and why do you think we need more with divided loyalties?
I'm beginning to think we need an exchange type of immigration system. For everyone they let in we get to ship one from the same country of origin selected from our prison system first. Then go to the welfare rolls. Whoever is sucking up the most resources and contributing the least will be at the top of the list.
"Feet dry" is no longer necessary now that Obama has restored relations with Cuba. Congress should end that with a single page law.
