Bill Cosby was charged Wednesday with drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home 12 years ago — the first criminal charges brought against the comedian out of the torrent of allegations that destroyed his good-guy image as America's Dad.

The case sets the stage for perhaps the biggest Hollywood celebrity trial of the mobile-all-the-time era and could send the 78-year-old Cosby to prison in the twilight of his life and barrier-breaking career.

Good. It took years for these women to be heard, but at least one will finally get her day in court.

It might be hard for the state to prove anything here without any actual physical or forensic evidence. The entire case will revolve around hearsay. It will be interesting how it turns out.

I agree. If the state does prove its case and Cosby is found guilty of the charge(s) against him, then he should get what's coming to him under the law (as should any convict). But, on the other hand, I would think that the state would have a tough, tough time convicting him.

well in his unsealed deposition from the civil suit he admitted to having sexual contact with the victim saying it was consensual and he also admitted to drugging women he wanted to have sex with in the past. Should be an interesting case

More than 50 women have now come forward with the exact same accusations. I don't know if the prosecutors can use that against him in court, though.

I though there was a statue of limitations and 12 years was exceeding it. Maybe not.
I wonder if they are confused on the last name. Cosby or Clinton ?
I hope they publish the warrant so we can be sure they are getting the right guy.

This incident took place in 2004, and apparently is still within the statute of limitations:

"The charges were brought against Cosby just days before a 12-year statute of limitations ran out. Attorneys for Constand said Wednesday that they had "the utmost confidence" in the prosecutor's office."

I believe the allegations are false...too many people ssaying the same thing..exactly what the MSM tells them to say...

what's next all the jello kids will say "he drugged me"" too

I met Mr. Cosby about 30 years ago, one of the nicest gentlemen, and funniest

I think the leaches are all out, especially since Bill has told the black community to "pull your pants up, and act correctly", bill ruffled some liberal feathers with that
