Geez, ya mean these aren't the so-called law abiding gun owners so often touted as the backbone of 'Murica?

Law enforcement are gun toting whack jobs, or is just certain people who you disagree with politically who get that moniker and not all people keeping and bearing arms?
Then what is the big deal and the call from the Democrats, for government to go in guns a blazing?
Why do they care, if they are just there peacefully?
Why in every case, the Feds hightailing it?
The Democratic party made no such call. You made that one up. Stop it.
There are a lot of people who would be happy to watch a gunfight from afar, but it's never going to happen.
Why has your boy Cruz stayed completely out of this one after he supported old man Cliven Bundy after Bunkerville? Because he's smart enough to know they are nothing but a bunch of losers, and he won't get burned again. Outside of a few blowhards in Texas, no one likes or supports these guys.
The Feds always have hightailed it ever since Waco and Ruby Ridge. 23 years ago. 23 years is a lot of time for the agents to develop better and more peaceful ways of arresting bloody-minded idiots.
The agents and officers don't need to do anything but get comfy and wait. They are old hands at this now, and have been arresting guys like these for over 20 years now with no big display. They all give up in the end.
According to an old post of yours, you once served on an icebreaker while in the Navy. You already know what its like to get cold and stay cold, day after long, dark miserable day. As I recall, you hated it and said so.
The Feds are quite happy to let winter do the work and drive this bunch of chest-thumpers out. Once one of them catches a cold, they'll all quit, all sobbing and snotty and wanting war blankets.
Just think, if everyone in Ferguson, had shown up with a firearm on their side, and a rifle slung over their shoulders?
It didn't happen. Why the 'what ifs'? A what if can be spun in any way possible. Stop the nonsense.
You seem to be a bit too enthusiastic about blood spilling for your own good, Bent. This isn't the lawless Old West anymore.

I'd like to see the nonsense that just because these protesters are armed it means that they aren't peaceful, end.
I reserve the moniker for those who occupy federal buildings and claim to be there to support people who want nothing to do with them (ie the Hammond and the residents of Harney County). I also reserve it for those that plan a long term occupation, but forget to bring snacks. Even the other militia think these guys are whack jobs. Can't we at least agree on that?

Set up a siege by cutting off all food, fuel, water, communications and power. Keep the press 1,500 yards away for their own protection. Then move in some portable shelters and sit the protestors out. It should be a short wait.

Food - they are in a wildlife refuge and are armed. I think they can manage to feed themselves if needed.
Water - have you seen all the snow on the ground?
Fuel - I see lots of wood and brush.
Communications - what would that accomplish?
Power - These people look like they know how to start a fire.
Yes, it seems Y'all Qaeda is uniting in Burns against the wishes of the locals there......
