And when Pakistan threatens Iran with nuclear bombs (which is the only way they can wipe Iran off the face of the Earth), people should not be surprised when Iran is trying to get such weapons as well. I don't consider Iran any worse then Pakistan, so why we treat them differently is beyond me, frankly.
I will always be on Iran's side in that whole Middle Eastern mess...
Great to know you'll side with those who wish our country destruction and hang gays.

The Saudis kill all kinds of civilians as well, nobody seems to care.
And don't fall for that scare-mongering crap. Look at the map, Iran is almost on the other side of the globe. And frankly, given the way Iranians have been abused by the West, it is totally understandable that they hate us. You are confusing cause and effect again.

Most of the Iranian people don't hate us, so your argument is moot. It is their government that hates us, and if you left-wingers really cared for the people of Iran having more opportunity, you'd want to encourage them to rise up against their government instead of coddling the Islamic Republic.

And if you haven't been paying attention to my posts, I also know about what the Saudis do, and have said repeatedly that our country should have relations with only 3 groups/countries in the MENA region because of this: Israel, the Kurds, and maybe Egypt.

Been waiting a few days, to see if & how this story breaks out of the *ahem* 'alternative' media to more mainstream. Thus far the only article I've located is on Yahoo, via AP - and there's no mention of such dire threats as "wiping Iran off the map." In fact, other linked articles indicate Pakistan is playing more of a peacemaker role:

Pakistan PM heads to Saudi, Iran in bid to mend rift

Pakistan PM looks to play peacemaker with Saudi Arabia, Iran visits

Indeed, most Iranian people don't hate people in the West, it is politicians hating politicians.
And that shows how generous Iranians are, despite the West's attempts to destroy their economy over mere allegations by hawks in Israel and the US.

It is none of our business, though, what kind of system and government they want. We should stop telling the world that our way of seeing things is the right one and everyone else is wrong. If a country wants to be communist, Islamic or whatever, we should leave them alone and maintain a good relationship instead of trying to topple their government just because we don't want such a system for ourselves.
Iranians wanted the Islamic system, that is why it is in power. And when young Iranians want to get rid of it, they will find a way. We should not interfere because when people have to decide between their own bad government and a foreign country, they always albeit grudgingly support their own bad government. Same in Russia etc.

It's not mere allegations, it's proof. But of course, blame Israel yet again. The fact is, they are the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world. If they had stopped funding terrorists, their economy wouldn't be in the crapper.

what a joke these threads are .

meanwhile the Pakistani prime minister has visited Tehran and Saudi assuring them both that Pakistan has its own problems.
PM, COAS meet Iran's Defence Minister, urge unity of the Ummah

The Uneducated Status of Americans when it comes to interpreting foreign news headlines
is indictment of our corporate owned news media.

folks who are on this site are supposedly people who are interested in current affairs.
yet even these folks sound clueless.

It is as if in U.S politics you said oh the head line says "X Politician is pro lower taxes"
and take that to mean yes he wants to lower what the average person pays in taxes.

or if you took a headline that says "Politician Y wants to build Highway I-999" and then automatically
interpret that's a good project.

people really need to stop their superficiality.

There has been no proof that Iran was trying to obtain nuclear bombs. Iran said this and the West said that, neither side proved their point.

The International system does not operate the way that you perceive, It's wishful thinking otherwise. The United States and the West have "meddled in affairs" in its history, but who hasn't in some form or another? Historians today are documenting that western "meddling" was not as disastrous as people today use to excuse particular actions. Basic International Relation 101 would inform you that the world is anarchic and that there is no imperial evidence to suggest that an no interference U.S would prevent Iran from harming the United States. Two liberal democracies do not go to war with each other and since Iran is not a liberal democracy, conflict will always arise or at least suspicion. We see this today with Iran's sponsor of terror and its spread of influence in the region, which has caused strife and conflict.

What is your supporting claim of the west destroying Iran's economy over "allegations?" A
