Exclamation Thank you President Obama!!!

This is great news but as usual the same characters are on this thread spewing their same hatred towards Obama that they have been doing since 2008. Obama is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't to the Tea Party crowd. Less taxes? Yeah right!!!

Not sure what taxes or tea parties have to do with anything, but in regards to the release of the prisoners your post proves the adage:
"Even a broken clock is right twice a day"

Yep. These are the same people who wanted the U.S. to fire cruise missiles at the Iranians when two U.S. Navy boats wandered into their territory and were temporarily taken into custody by Iran. Some people cheer for bloodshed at every turn, and see it as weakness when issues are resolve peacefully.

How quickly we forget:

1979- Iran Hostage Crisis 60 US people held 444 days

1982-92- Lebanon Hostage crisis protracted 10 years

1983- US Beruit Military Bombing - 299 killed

1985-87- Iran Contra Affair.

US paid Israel to trade hundreds of Shia hostages for US hostages.

US supplied Israel with weapons to be sold to Iran then used proceeds to fund clandestine operations in Central America.

US paid, paid, paid to get hostages released.

That's the way we role.

Hostages:

1) Dual Iranian/ American war correspondent investigating corruption in Iran

2) CIA operative whose family was paid to keep quiet about the top secret nature of his business in Iran

3) Dual Iranian/ American visiting family for Ramaden

4) Iranian- American pastor who was in Iran to attempt to build a ministry orphanage

Are we not worried one or more was " radicalized" while in Iran?

Do any of these hostages have some element of personal responsibility for putting themselves into vulnerable situations?

Default Iran frees 4 US prisoners, in a swap

While I'm glad they've been released and will be returning home, I have little sympathy for Americans who willingly travel to hostile nations like Iran and N Korea and find themselves seized as political pawns on BS charges.

Don't want to be kidnapped by a hostile government?

Then don't go there.

It isn't complicated.

Another chapter in the art of a terrible spineless deal!
You people are funny, this is truly great news. I recall the criticism that these hostages were not included in the nuclear treat even though they were separate issues and here we have the 4 hostages being released and a student, yet you still think that was a good idea.

I guess some cannot handle success. You remind me of the knight in the Monty Python movie with his arms and legs cut off still begging for a fight, give it up and admit it this is great news and another victory for this administration.

Watching some of the Fox News former state department "experts" putting a negative spin on this, both hysterical and painful to watch.
