Do you think your tax dollars should go to build new stadiums for pro sports, even if you pay only a "few" more dollars a year in taxes?

No. Most people don't care about a game. Like any special interest the fans of it, and the owners, should foot the bill.

I even object to elaborate sorts facilities at the local school levels. Basic sports fields are needed but fancy stadiums are not.

I also do not support public money being used to build a facility for a privately owned sports team. Professional sports are making plenty of money so they should build their own.

Aside: Eminent Domain should never be used to build sports stadiums or casinos.

No. Tax dollars shouldn't be spent to support private businesses, especially entertainment businesses. An average NFL team makes $300,000,000 a year, they can afford a mortgage to buy their own stadium.

No, stadiums should be built by private funds like many NBA basketball arenas.

Sports franchises can afford to build their own stadiums.

I don't even like tax exemptions for religions - unless the facilities are open to everybody. I can understand that churches and religious facilities should be locked at night for security purposes. I just don't like one religious group or group of sport's enthusiast to get any special use of taxpayer funds. I don't think that it a fair distribution of our hard earned money. If a religion or group of sport's fans has enough support; they don't need ours. And, if they don't have that support, perhaps it is time for them to fail (without our help).

I don't because it pads the pockets of the players and the owners. Unless you get every city in the nation to agree not to give them money it's not going to happen.

I'm against it. Here is an apt article about this subject:
