Let me guess, by giving us more free stuff As an educated black man, the notion that more social programs is the answer to inequality in regards to race is an absolute joke. I'm sorry, but being poor should suck. Many of my AA relatives have been working the system for years. They don't work because their quality of life is better by just sitting on their butts and milking the system.

Bernie Sanders will count every person who receives government welfare as being employed, since they are getting regular paychecks. This will slash Black unemployment rates tremendously.
It really has little to do with black this and that. Some people don't like to work and will find any and every way not to do so. Those like your relatives aren't the majority, thankfully.

I think Bernie makes a good point. Black unemployment has been at all time highs, and especially for the 18-25 demographic where the participation rates are horrible at under 30%.
It's kind of ironic that black lives have suffered worse under Obama than any prior President since Carter... sad but true.

Nothing new... Pelosi famously said that "unemployment is good for the economy", which is basically the way socialists think.
It has accelerated in the gap in the last 5 years, tremendously.
Actually, these days, the ratio is a little better than that. According to December's BLS report, white unemployment was 4.5% and black unemployment was 8.3%.
I believe that in the last twelve months, the unemployment for African-Americans has dropped from 10.3% to 8.3%.
Education comes with hard work. College is not easy. It took me six years to get my accounting degree. Like a lot of people, I worked the entire time. When one is raised in a world of hand outs, one is destined to be an apple that doesn't fall far from the tree IMO.
I've never seen a stat on it, but I would be willing to bet that the rate of individuals with a college education is higher in those that came from a family supported by low wage jobs than a family that simply works the system.
