Europeans have forgotten more about war, bloodshed and genocide than Americans will ever know.

Your history reads like a who's who of genocidal maniacs.
You make my point! Been there done that. One learns from prior experience.
There is no denying that the Europe of this era is less violent than America.

Just curious if any of the "anti-gun" people would:

1) Acknowledge that subtracting the gangbangers in inner cities from the US gun death totals we are on par with most of Europe.

2) Explain why that fact is irrelevant to the discussion and how "sensible gun control measures" address that portion of our population who skew the numbers so badly.

We have more than 300 million people and 10x the amount of criminals a single country in Europe has. What part of that is so hard to comprehend?

So be it. Why do people feel they have to criticize and mock countries that prefer not to arm themselves against the possible threat of violence that most people will never be the victim of?
That's what the Jews said before their near extinction. Liberal pansies never learn.

I would disagree. In the U.S., the deaths from gun violence are 3.55 per 100,000 people. In the EU, deaths from gun violence in any country are less than 1.0 per 100,000 people. Portugal is #1 with a rate of 0.66 per 100,000.

I don't know the breakdown of inner city deaths from gun violence versus the rest of the country. Perhaps it is true they skew the averages more, but I really don't know.

yea sure. what about French operations CURRENTLY all over Africa? you make it sound like your warmongering and genocidal past is sooo long ago. you're still cleaning up your mess all over Africa.

what about the 90's and the Yugoslav republic? SUCH a long time ago right? Americans are still in Kosovo as a result of that war.

get off your high horse. european soil has more blood in it than anywhere else in the world.

Because France, and most of Europe is populated with a bunch of metrosexual socialists who would rather roll over than stand up for themselves. We pulled you collective asses from the fire twice, but you're going to be in it so deep this time that maybe even we can't do what you won't.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to see Europe when I did.

Basically, remove 10-20 of the most violent cities in America from the statistics and they change significantly as far as violence goes. On a state by state basis we have states like VT that are safer than most of Europe with the least restrictive gun laws in the world.

tbh I don't really understand the logic of conservative Americans like you, Europe is still like 95% white or so, it's not like it's sinking into oblivion as muslims outnumber us, most muslims assimilate to the local culture, some don't and there's a problem indeed especially with the ISIS propaganda going on, but the US is also not immune to the ISIS threat, see California last month.

What do you think Europe should do ? If you think we're accepting all the migrants coming to our continent you're mistaken. Unfortunately stupid Merkel said Germany would accept millions of refugees and now they're all trying to come here, but not all of them are accepted, very far from that, especially since the recent incidents.

Oh now Merkel is stupid. If I remember correctly no less then four years ago, the narrative was that Merkel was a champion and pioneer of illegal immigrant rights and Germany was a wonderful bastion and beacon of multiculturalism and Americans were backwards and racist. Now that your precious failed experiment has came crashing down upon Europe like the Berlin wall and your treacherous ideology has all but destroyed the once peaceful Christian European society, all of a sudden she is stupid. Even though it is you who voted her in not once, not twice, but THREE times into power, she's the stupid one. You only have yourself to blame.
