I think war today is much about the need for big corporations selling high tech war goods to the military?

Turkey and Russia might have a small war, but the world leaders will do everything to contain it and stop it from getting worse. Turkey is any ways a thorn in NATOs and EUs side. They attacked Cyprus in 1970s and still hold a third of the island, they are suppressing Kurds domestically, and bombing Kurds in Syria. They buy ISIS oil and are becoming ever more autocratic, and have bad relations with the Greeks and Armenians. There's a bigger chance of turkey getting kicked out than NATO stepping in.
Exactly. It is not like NATO is unaware of how Turkey is. While in public NATO is all gung-ho about backing Turkey, behind closed doors they are face palming themselves.

No one is going to go to war over Turkey unless it was a completely unprovoked attack. Turkey merely firing into foreign territory is enough to not warrant NATO support if push came to shove.

The Russians would over run NATO forces in 3 days in the Baltic states according to simulations totally destroying them and would run rough shod all over Europe...the Nuclear option would be the only one NATO has.

Default Mounting Evidence Putin Will Ignite WWIII

Palin lives within a stone's throw of Russia, and she hasn't been very coherent, lately.
