Code word for - you won't be getting any of these new profits, and no thank you for your service, no severance and you are SOL.

It is amazing no one took him down during that heartless speech.
Yeah. It makes you feel horrible for these people.

That moment when Republicans let you know just how dangerous they can be if they ever get their wish list.

This video was hard to watch. another company closing doors and going to a foreign country. And what is frustrating is that some posts on this thread suggest people don't seem to care at all about losing American jobs.

You're confusing two separate issues.

No other country has a Google or Apple or Facebook. China certainly has some big companies, but they aren't very innovative and sometimes/often times just downright steal innovation.
Um, Baidu?

You do realize that Nixon was a Republican, right? He's the one that made significant progress on trade with China.

America would fall apart without China. Sad how we've become so dependent on them.

But this is Mexico we're talking about. Another 3rd world country that America cannot compete with for some reason. Boo hoo....

Instead of whining about it, maybe people should ask why, and actually tackle the problem. The root cause I figure is, Americans don't like competition. They just want their participation awards, and to be left alone. Which is fine. But a first world standard of living must earned.

I loved the worker who told the President of the company to F off. And the workers who laughed when he said they would still maintain high levels of quality and productivity through the transition period. They should have pelted him with soda cans and chased him off the stage.
As long as people understand that the unions and management are on the same team, like democrats and republicans are, and are working for themselves AGAINST the people, there's a chance that we may one day wake up and stop the slow death of this country. For those too stupid to understand this, just keep playing in your little partisan political fantasy land.

Where is the Green in that as well?

If Globalism is to reduce resources since Americans consume so much, then how does producing low quality goods help that?
Um, you have lower trained lower skilled jobs sent overseas so you can focus on better things. You don't still make the little umbrellas in the drinks but you can now enjoy those just the same as your washing machine cleans your clothes, the dryer dries them, the TV blares off nonsense (but at least you're home watching it and not assembling in a plant somewhere), etc.

You see, you were suppose to move on to the next level economically but it appears that you and your fellow Americans just don't have it in you. You'd rather sit and enjoy typing away on that computer made for you in some third world country you care nothing about by people who are just now imaging what it will be like to have a washing machine.

Get it yet?
