Which, if any, would you legalize?

why or why not?

I think Id legalize all of them. There would, of course, be restrictions placed on them.

Drug cartels so powerful, governments at risk, U.S. told | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle (broken link) For one thing, you will NEVER stop any of them, and legalizing them might make the world a bit safer...

All of the above. Prohibition doesn't work. If you make it legal, bring it into the light, you can regulate it, enjoy more freedom, and make the vice "safer" to engage in. Taking away the "edge" may actually even dissuade those who are motivated by the "naughtiness" of the act.

These things are outlawed in the first place because some folks think/thought Christianity is a sound basis for legislation.

Take all three of those vices and put them in one room... would you have your child in there? Why not...? Everything in there is legal, they should be able to see what will be able to partake in one day, right?

Probably because it is the sole reference for morality.

would you bring in your child when your about to give them a brother or sister? would you give a 5 yr old the keys to a ferrari?

Things need to be done in an age appropriate way.

Only if you're an orthodox Christian. Not everyone is an orthodox Christian.

Even Christians with a more moderate interpretation can acknowledge that there is more than one "reference for morality."

Legalize them all. Why? Just makes sense.

Neither of those lead to a life of addiction.

I should have been more clear and said "religion". If there were no religion where would morality come from? Look at neighborhoods that all three of those things run rampant.... screw that man, I like my rules.
